LENNON RICHARDSON: Rare football talent at 15 in the Philippines

LENNON RICHARDSON
A towering forward, Lennon Richardson is a tall football player from Ormoc City, Leyte known to posses a remarkable technical ability to score goals and create chances. He is the master in 1v1 situations. Because Lennon is already 5.7 ft at 15, sometimes he is shy to play with his age category and instead prefer playing with U17 team.
He is a natural right-footed player who likes to play as a left sided forward and the position allow him to drift inside and shoot with his stronger foot or create chances for his teammate! He is an accurate free kick and penalty taker. Although Lennon is a tall player, he sees himself as future Neymar Jr. as he tries everyday to perfect his dribbling, shooting, headers, speed and controls.

Coach Lerche Njang described Lennon as “Great player, one of the rare talents in the country” during his time coaching Ormoc Soccer Association U14 team.

Lennon has represented Leyte Football Association in various competitions apart from his parent club OSA FC. He represented Leyte All Stars in the recent Alaska cup held in Manila. He is always among the first players within his age groups to be invited to camps within Leyte region.

Lennon is a great talent who could show the world that Philippines can be among the top football nations in Asia with adequate youth development projects and scouting in the grass root.
