After Passargad
got beaten 7:0 in their first game against Global FC, you would have thought
they have learned their lesson but it was different for a team that has no
power going forward.
Loyola came in
with one intention! Win against a team that has no attacking threat and we will
put our campaign on track after the loss to Ceres FC. The team pressed high up
and forced Passargad to play at own half. In the 15 minutes Loyoya’s pressure
was reward as Casttiella made no mistake in netting home the first goal when he
was left to face the Passargad goalkeeper in a 1v1 situation. The team settle
when Minniecon doubled the lead 2 minutes later from the edge of the box. The
scoring continued as Kouichi Belgria who was busy at the left flank found the
inform Castiella for an easy finish. At 39 minutes Minniecon was also found in
the box and he made no mistake in tapping home his second goal of the day and
the first half ended 4:0.
The second have
started and John De Castro scored the first and only goal so far in UFL Cup
2016 for Passargad at 44 minutes as Loyola were becoming too comfortable in
their lead from half time. This sparks another pressure from Loyola and
Minniecon completed his hat trick with a brilliant finish at 51 minutes. James
Younghusband who was the central defender for the night got his name in the
score shit when he nodded home from a free kick after a sluggish defending from
Passargad to further extend his teams advantage. Castiella who was named the
man of the match completed his hat trick at 55 minutes.
With lots of time
still left to play, Passargad worked hard to make sure that they do not concede
more than how they are allowed to concede. Loyola mounted pressure in search
for more goals but the luck was gone and the game ended 7:1 in favor of Loyola
Meralco Sparks FC.
Loyola went home
with lots of positives while Passargad went with a rethink.
